# Next Everything > Next Everything is an MCP server that lets AI assistants and agents (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Claude Duet, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, VS Code) order every part of a hardware project: electronic components, circuit boards, 3D prints and CNC metal parts. It checks a BOM against live JLCPCB/LCSC, DigiKey and Mouser stock and prices, flags out-of-stock or discontinued parts, suggests checked alternatives, and places the order the user approves. Prices are in USD. - MCP endpoint: `https://mcp.nexteverything.io/mcp` (HTTP, header `Authorization: Bearer `; the key comes from https://nexteverything.io/dashboard/) - Account and API key: https://nexteverything.io/signup/ - Each build gets a live project page with the BOM, prices, every step the assistant takes, orders, payment link and tracking. - Tools: `create_project`, `check_bom`, `find_parts`, `get_part`, `find_alternatives`, `update_bom_line`, `place_order`, `order_status`. - Typical flow: create_project, then check_bom with the BOM and board count, review problems and alternatives with the user, update_bom_line to swap parts, place_order with the latest quote. Orders are never placed or paid without the user's confirmation. ## Docs - [MCP server documentation](https://nexteverything.io/docs/): setup, tools and example prompts - [Claude Code setup](https://nexteverything.io/docs/claude-code/): Add the Next Everything MCP server to Claude Code with one command.
