Find in-stock replacements for any part

A part goes out of stock or reaches end of life, and you need something that fits the same footprint and does the same job. Ask your assistant: through the Next Everything MCP server it gets compatible, in-stock replacements, each checked against the original spec by spec.

How replacements are checked

find_alternatives compares the specs that matter for the part type: value, polarity, voltage, current, tolerance, dielectric and more. Each result shows the comparison and a confidence:

  • high when every rule was verified,
  • medium when a spec could not be read.

Part types without rules, and parts only Mouser or DigiKey sell, return similar in-stock parts from the same category, clearly marked as unverified.

Same footprint by default

Replacements keep the same package unless you allow otherwise, so the PCB does not change. Pin order is not compared yet, so check the pinout (your assistant can pull it with get_part) before you swap.

Stock for your build, not just any stock

Pass the quantity you need and only parts with that much stock come back. For JLCPCB assembly you can ask for basic parts only, which avoids the extended-part fee. Inside a BOM check, problem lines get alternatives automatically.

Try asking

  • “The SPH0645 microphone in my BOM is obsolete. What can replace it?”
  • “Find three in-stock alternatives to AMS1117-3.3 in SOT-223, enough for 500 boards.”
  • “Replace every extended part in this BOM with a basic JLCPCB part where the specs match.”
