Meta Muse: Meta’s personal AI agent
Muse is Meta’s personal AI agent. It launched on 8 September 2026, went to the top of Apple’s App Store, and three weeks later got a business edition with connectors for Shopify, Stripe and QuickBooks. It is the agent Anthropic’s Claude Duet and OpenAI’s dots are most often compared to.
What Muse does
- Acts, not only answers. Muse can browse the web, pull information from connected apps and carry out tasks of several steps.
- Works in the background in an isolated cloud environment. Meta’s Alexandr Wang said it never sees users’ passwords or payment details.
- You set permissions and review and approve what it does along the way.
- Connects to daily apps such as email, calendar and Instagram.
In CNN’s hands-on test Muse booked a date night, built a packing schedule and emailed a friend. Other coverage mentions bill negotiation, form filling and travel bookings: Muse leans further toward personal errands than Claude Duet, which Anthropic says is weaker at exactly those.
Price
CNBC reported a free tier plus plans at $20 and $100 a month. Some coverage calls the paid tiers Power and Maximum; Meta’s own Muse page does not list prices, so check in the app before you rely on a tier name. That makes Muse, with Hark Pro, the cheapest of the new agents to try.
Muse for Small Business
On 29 September 2026 Meta added business skills and connectors to the same Muse app, not a separate product:
- About 15 third-party connectors, including Shopify, Stripe, Intuit QuickBooks, Klaviyo, HighLevel, Slack, Canva and Zoom.
- Meta’s own business assets: Facebook Pages, Instagram professional account analytics and Meta ad accounts.
- Custom connectors for services Meta does not offer yet.
- Approval: Meta says nothing publishes, sends or spends without the owner’s approval.
If your customers find you on Instagram and buy through Shopify, this is Muse’s strongest card: no other agent has direct access to Meta ad accounts.

Muse for a business that sells hardware
For a small electronics brand Muse can run the storefront side: Shopify listings, Instagram posts, ad spend, customer email. The supply side (is every part on the BOM still in stock, what does the next batch of 100 boards cost) needs a tool that knows electronic parts. Meta has not said which protocol custom connectors use, so we cannot yet say whether a parts MCP server such as Next Everything plugs into Muse. It does plug into Claude Duet, the Claude app and the coding agents.

About this guide
We build Next Everything, an MCP server that lets AI assistants and agents check a BOM against the JLCPCB/LCSC catalog and live Mouser and DigiKey prices, and order the parts you approve. Features, prices and availability here are as announced by each company and reported in the press on the date above. These products are in beta or preview and change often.
Next Everything is not affiliated with Anthropic, Meta, OpenAI, xAI, Hark or the other companies named here. Product names belong to their owners.
